Job summary

HII's Newport News Shipbuilding division is seeking a Construction Supervisor to coordinate and supervise all aspects of the AOR construction process. You will define project scope, goals and deliverables that support build strategy and key event schedules, ensuring quality and safety standards are met and work proceeds on time.

You will liaise with trades’ management to control cost, assess growth work and contract changes, identify risks, and develop contingency plans.

Qualifications

• 3 years Construction Supervisor 1 experience or equivalent required.
• Experience in planning/production control and contract changes considered.
• Military E-6 and above also acceptable per role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise construction activities for AOR to meet scope and schedule.
• Define project goals, deliverables and build strategy with stakeholders.
• Manage cost performance, overtime, and identify cost drivers.
• Assess growth work and contract changes for funding and schedule impact.
• Identify risks and develop contingency plans.
• Perform inspections and document discrepancies for corrections.
