Job summary

S+B James Construction is seeking an experienced construction supervisor to join our team in California. The role focuses on assisting the project manager with work plans, CPM scheduling, and day-to-day site activities across healthcare, education, and commercial projects.

You will travel to jobsites, manage field teams, and ensure timely documentation and adherence to safety programs. Proficiency in MS Office and field coordination is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• OSHA 30 certification required or preferred.
• Ability to travel to jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Assist project manager and estimating in the creation of work plans and CPM schedules.
• Schedule and sequence day-to-day activities to meet project objectives.
• Travel to jobsites as needed.
• Create and maintain timely, orderly project document flow with the project manager.
• Create, implement, and maintain site logistics program with the project manager.
• Manage field teams to ensure high performance and progressive production and completions of work.
• Hold regular meetings with owner and designer to update status and progress.
• Ensure permits and licenses are obtained and coordinate with inspection agencies.
• Maintain good relations and communications with all project stakeholders.
• Hold weekly toolbox safety talks with site staff.
