Job summary

Progressive Companies in Grand Rapids is seeking an experienced field leader to manage complex construction projects from mobilization to turnover. You will own the schedule, coordinate trades, materials, and site logistics, and ensure milestones and lookaheads are met.

You'll lead safety programs with OSHA-30, enforce the site safety plan, supervise multiple crews, resolve RFIs, and maintain accurate logs and reports. The role develops field leaders and aims for clean project closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent education/experience.
• OSHA-30 certification is required.
• Michigan Residential Builders License is preferred.
• 8+ years of post-graduate field experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and drive the project schedule from mobilization through turnover using Microsoft Project.
• Lead safety meetings and routine site inspections, enforce OSHA requirements.
• Hold multiple subcontractors and trade teams accountable for quality and productivity.
• Resolve field conflicts, manage RFIs and change orders, document changes in Procore and Bluebeam.
• Lead progress meetings and deliver accurate daily logs and progress reports.
• Learn Progressive's field standards and take field leadership on an active project.
• Drive punch list completion and final inspections for a smooth turnover.
• Mentor junior superintendents and field staff to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
