Job summary

Janey Construction Management & Consulting Inc. in Boston seeks an experienced Superintendent to support the Project Manager and General Superintendent, ensuring safety, scheduling, budget, quality and customer satisfaction on projects.

The role leads on small projects or sections of larger projects, reports to the General Superintendent, and collaborates with all departments. Preconstruction, construction, and closeout duties are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or applicable discipline.
• 7+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Leadership and management skills.
• Knowledge of Procore.
• OSHA 30 hour certified.
• Construction-document and drawing literate with knowledge of all phases of construction.

Responsibilities

• May perform other duties as assigned.
• Work with PM and Project Controls to establish project schedule.
• Identify pre-mobilization activities with leadership.
• Attend project kickoff meeting.
• Supervise trade contractors and enforce safety standards.
• Inspect quality of work and ensure corrective actions.
• Coordinate schedule with trade contractors to meet milestones.
• Prepare and distribute daily reports.
• Manage subcontractor closeout, utilities transfer, owner training, punch lists.
