Job summary

ServiceMaster DSI in Madison, WI seeks a Construction Superintendent to oversee restoration projects with a direct line to customers. The role offers a starting salary of 70K+ per year, plus a company vehicle and potential yearly bonus.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on construction experience.
• 2 years project management experience (preferred).
• Strong remodeling/restoration experience (preferred).
• Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to move and lift 50+ lbs.
• Pass background check and drug screen.
• Xactimate experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct communication with customers throughout the project to ensure excellent customer service.
• Manage scheduling of direct report carpenters.
• Manage subcontractors to support project completion, quality, and timelines.
• Coordinate with Regional Construction Manager on technical issues.
• Ensure materials, permits, licenses, and inspections are obtained in a timely manner.
• Ensure timely and quality completion of construction and carpentry projects.
• Adhere to scope, time, and material specifications and flag discrepancies.
• Assist in change order estimating and documentation.
• Maintain a safe, healthy work environment.
• Monitor productivity of Construction division staff.
• Review job cost reports to track labor and material expenses.
• Schedule, price, and monitor subcontractor performance.
• Follow safety practices and PPE usage; read MSDS where required.
• Enforce company policies and safety manuals.
• Drive company vehicle to customer locations.
• Deliver work that meets regulations and quality standards with empathy.
• Keep a clean, professional jobsite and provide timely services.
• Assist in planning and sequencing service delivery, including on-call rotations.
• Perform other duties as required.
