Job summary

Grunley Construction in Chambersburg, PA seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead on-site construction operations, directing field teams, subcontractors, and material flow to meet project milestones.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of construction leadership, a HS Diploma or GED, OSHA 10, CPR and First Aid certifications, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. This exempt, full-time role offers competitive pay, benefits, and a company vehicle and gas card.

Qualifications

• Requires HS Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of construction leadership experience.
• OSHA 10, CPR Certified, First Aid Certified (current or able to obtain before project start date).

Responsibilities

• Supervise Grunley employees; coordinate with Foremen, Field Engineers and Assistant Superintendents.
• Direct subcontractor foremen and coordinate with labor managers.
• Assist in developing baseline project schedule and two-week lookahead plans.
• Inspect site daily for quality, safety, and timely issue resolution; maintain quality control program.
• Order and manage temporary construction materials and equipment; coordinate purchasing.
• Perform weekly toolbox talks and ensure MSDs are in place and followed.
• Maintain daily/weekly reports, time sheets, and purchase orders.
• Post and maintain drawings; participate in Grunley training and mentor junior staff.
