Job summary

DEW Construction seeks a Senior Superintendent with Multifamily and Healthcare experience to lead field activities and manage DEW employees and subcontractors. The role ensures contract requirements, safety, budget, and schedule goals are met while coordinating self-perform work and supervision of all personnel on-site.

Responsibilities include preconstruction input, site logistics, QA/QC programs, budget oversight, and weekly meetings.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of Construction Management Superintendent experience.
• Experience building ground-up Healthcare, Commercial, Education, Industrial and Retail projects; wood-framed construction is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication; skilled negotiator and conflict resolver.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preconstruction with project start-up plans and scheduling; understand blueprints, schedules, subcontractor responsibilities, and project scope.
• Provide daily oversight of construction projects; create and implement site logistics plan; sequence activities and allocate resources.
• Lead on-site QA/QC program; enforce safety plans and regulations (OSHA, company policies).
• Ensure compliance with design specs, budgets, and quality standards across all phases.
• Maintain open dialogue with project team regarding changes, subcontractor relations, and schedule deviations.
• Run weekly project and subcontractor meetings.
• Manage client expectations and foster positive subcontractor relations.
• Oversee budget management, cost control, and invoice review.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, and change orders as necessary.
• Mentor and coach direct reports with performance reviews and developmental goals.
