Mortenson is seeking a Superintendent I/II to coordinate, plan, and supervise craft activities and assistant superintendents on multiple projects. The role focuses on scheduling, coordination with design teams, and building strong client relationships through excellent service.

Base pay varies by level and location, with ranges for Superintendent I at $111,400–$167,100 and Superintendent II at $130,100–$195,200. The position may require extensive travel and offers incentive opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management
• OR 10 years trade experience
• Current driver’s license
• Ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projects
• Detail‑oriented, able to organize and manage multiple project tasks
• Basic understanding of construction law and business practices
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Positive, professional attitude and strong customer service skills
• Ability to interpret and communicate company policies
• Effective communication and active listening skills, openness to diverse input and feedback, ability to travel up to 100%

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support project schedule
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability; coordinate plans with design engineers
• Develop and manage project schedule and site logistics; collaborate with superintendents
• Coach, supervise, and develop team members; conduct orientation and site meetings
• Ensure proper task coding; lead progress tracking and training; conduct career development
• Build effective relationships with diverse backgrounds and levels
• Lead by example; provide coaching and feedback; manage performance
• Provide high-level safety, quality, risk, and compliance management; mitigate issues
