Job summary

Clune Construction Company seeks a Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial projects, coordinating with PMs, architects, and trade partners. You will manage schedules, safety, quality control, and project reporting while mentoring junior staff.

The role emphasizes proactive problem-solving, strong communication, and a commitment to Clune’s safety culture in a fast-paced environment. On-site leadership is essential for project success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing commercial interior, healthcare and/or mission-critical projects.
• Experience managing all aspects of field operations including scheduling, quality control and coordinating sub-contractors.
• Solid background in construction trades and technical knowledge.
• Proficiency with scheduling software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interact with higher-end clientele.

Responsibilities

• Active participation in RFP responses, including taking a lead role in developing presentations, and leading the pitch.
• Supervise and participate in pre-construction scheduling, logistics, and planning.
• Create accurate and detailed project schedules and weekly field updates, incorporating owner milestones and feasibility input.
• Prepare schedules and proposed phasing plans for projects to assist PMs with budgeting and bidding.
• Manage multiple, large, and/or complex projects with high quality assurance and control.
• Supervise and manage internal field team, trade partners, and owner vendors.
• Promote teamwork and open communication on the project site with all stakeholders.
• Proactively recognize and resolve on-site challenges to minimize cost impact.
• Be an ambassador for safety culture and OSHA standards on-site.
