Job summary

Sundt Construction seeks a Project Superintendent I/II to plan, coordinate and supervise field operations on complex projects, ensuring safety, quality and profitability. You will work with the Project Manager to develop plans, schedule labor and manage subcontractors on projects up to $50 million.

Ideal candidates have a four-year engineering degree, strong communication and supervisory skills, and a track record in construction leadership.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience, required.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills are essential.
• Must have construction project and supervision experience in similar types of facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the review of shop drawings, submittals, subcontract change orders and purchase orders.
• Collaborates with the Project Manager to develop the project management plan (PMP) including scope, procurement, environmental, time, financial, quality and safety plans.
• Conducts weekly coordination meetings with project teams and subcontractors and prepares daily field status reports.
• Coordinates documentation of constructability issues and clarifications with appropriate personnel.
• Develops and manages the construction plan for successful execution of the work.
• Ensures work is executed according to contract terms in a profitable manner.
• Interacts with owners, teams and stakeholders to maintain a positive project environment and client experience.
• Manages field operations and responsible for project success including profitability, safety, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Prepares and updates the original CPM Project Schedule and keeps it current using LEAN processes and Weekly Work Plans.
• Prevents claims, identifies potential claims, quantifies, documents, mitigates/resolve effects.
