Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to lead on-site construction across Michigan, including Detroit. You will own field operations, supervise subcontractors, and partner with project managers and owners to deliver on schedule, safety, and quality.

With 5+ years in superintendent roles at general contractors, you’ll read plans, coordinate multi-discipline teams on ground-up and complex renovations, and drive project success in a stable, growth-minded firm.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Lead Superintendent with a general contractor.
• Experience on ground-up and/or large renovation commercial, industrial, or multifamily projects.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and keep projects on schedule.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and safety standards.
• Comfortable running projects independently or leading multiple field teams.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and construction documents.
• Strong communication skills with clients, subs, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout.
• Manage subcontractors, field staff, and daily site operations to maintain schedule and quality.
• Coordinate with project managers, owners, and design teams to ensure alignment.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized job site.
• Oversee scheduling, logistics, inspections, and material deliveries.
• Identify and proactively resolve field issues, conflicts, and delays.
• Track progress and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
