Job summary

Russell is seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee all phases of construction projects in the Missouri/St. Louis area. You will lead site teams, coordinate with owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors, and ensure projects meet plans, budgets and schedules.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years in construction PM, strong leadership, safety focus and excellent communication. Ground-up construction experience and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5+ years of construction project management experience.
• Thorough knowledge of construction principles, building codes, safety standards.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate project teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise all construction activities for assigned projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specification and schedules.
• Coordinate with project owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors to develop project plans, schedules, budgets and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
• Manage subcontractor performance, including monitoring work progress, quality and safety compliance, and addressing any issues or concerns that arise.
• Conduct regular site inspections and walkthroughs to monitor construction progress, identify potential issues or risks and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Enforce project safety policies and procedures, conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety requirements.
• Manage project schedules and timelines, including coordinating work sequences, tracking progress, and updating schedules as needed.
• Resolve construction related issues and conflicts that arise during the project and collaborate with project stakeholders to develop and implement solutions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports and as-built drawings and ensure that all project records are properly organized and maintained.
• Coordinate with project owners, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to address project needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams and foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture on-site.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
