W. G. Yates & Sons Construction Company seeks a seasoned Superintendent to lead field operations, coordinating owners, architects, engineers, inspectors and trades. You will monitor safety, schedule, quality and budget while mentoring junior team members on a major project.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple trades, subcontractors, and critical sequences on site. Based in North Carolina, the position emphasizes safety and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) years’ industry experience.
• Experience managing a scope of work valued over $1MM.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Solid planning and scheduling capabilities.
• Understanding of business/financial principles to monitor expenses.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with project owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors, and site subcontractors.
• Schedule work activities and communicate assignments to trades.
• Conduct preconstruction meetings with subcontractors before each phase.
• Plan manpower and personnel needs onsite.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Manage safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project.
• Oversee site logistics and equipment management.
• Oversee weekly work activities for trades and review progress against plan.
• Develop and maintain the site logistics plan and scopes of work.
• Participate in owner meetings and CPM scheduling discussions.
