We seek seasoned professionals skilled in stakeholder coordination, schedule and cost control, and field oversight to help deliver these critical improvements safely, on time, and on budget.

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Construction Superintendent with a proven track record of leading field operations on complex, large-scale building and infrastructure projects valued at $15 million or more. The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of progressive construction experience, including at least 5 years in a senior supervisory role, and a comprehensive understanding of construction methods, safety regulations, quality control, and scheduling. This role is responsible for overall site management, including coordination of subcontractors, materials, equipment, and personnel, while ensuring strict adherence to project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Oversee field operations, subcontractor performance, and construction sequencing across multiple trades.
• Enforce strict compliance with safety standards (OSHA, local regulations) and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
• Interpret and enforce construction plans, specifications, contracts, and building codes.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and inspectors to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution.
• Maintain updated schedules, track daily progress, and develop recovery plans when milestones are at risk.
• Supervise quality assurance/quality control measures and ensure completion of punch list items.
• Maintain thorough documentation of site activities, daily logs, RFIs, and field changes.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of construction experience, including 5+ years in a senior superintendent or general superintendent role.
• Demonstrated experience managing field operations for ground-up construction, rehabilitation, and infrastructure projects over $15M.
• In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, sshceduling, means and methods, and trade coordination.
• Proficient with construction management software (e.g., Procore, e-Builder, PlanGrid) and scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  
  

Preferred Education And Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred but not required).
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification (required).
• CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred).
• Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) certification by USACE/NAVFAC (preferred for public projects).
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) – CMAA (preferred).
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP (preferred for sustainable projects).
• SWPPP Certification, NYC DOB SST Card, and other relevant regional safety/trade certifications (as applicable).
  
  

Hourly Rate Range: $55 – $65 per hour, commensurate with experience and credentials.
