Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to supervise a site or unit, overseeing several level 1 Superintendents. The role requires strong leadership, safety, and coordination with engineering, scheduling and materials teams.

You will plan on-site functions, manage subcontractors, ensure productivity and budget adherence, and implement project work plans. A high school diploma and 8+ years of construction oversight experience are required.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (tech, equipment, methods).
• Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills required.
• Excellent management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction site to ensure project aligns with design, budget and schedule.
• Plan and supervise on-site functions; coordinate scheduling, engineering, and materials control.
• Supervise field supervisors, superintendents and contractors for productivity and quality.
• Interface with on-site teams to resolve problems and meet schedules.
• Assist management in developing Work Plans and procedures to achieve project goals.
• Support corporate safety, quality and environmental initiatives.
• Recruit and hire qualified individuals to maintain high-performing teams.
