Job summary

HRG, an employee-owned engineering and planning firm, seeks a Construction Specialist in Cranberry Township, PA to support municipal, water, and wastewater infrastructure from pre-construction through close-out. You will work with project managers, designers, contractors, and municipal clients to ensure compliance with contract documents, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in civil construction, construction administration, or related field.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Experience reviewing submittals, change orders, and payment applications.
• Familiarity with municipal ordinances, zoning regulations, and PennDOT standards preferred.
• Experience with water and wastewater systems and infrastructure strongly preferred.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software experience is a plus.
• Certifications like NICET, SEO, CDT are beneficial but not required.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
• Willingness to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices; possible overnight stays.
• Valid US Driver’s License; legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Support construction administration activities for municipal, water, and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Review construction documents, plans, specifications, and contractor submittals for compliance with project requirements.
• Track project progress, quantities, and maintain daily reports and as-built records.
• Evaluate and process change orders, payment applications, and field directives to ensure accurate contract administration.
• Observe and document construction activities to verify compliance with plans, specs, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities with contractors, municipalities, and internal teams.
• Conduct site visits and field investigations to support issue resolution and maintain design intent during construction.
• Serve as a liaison between clients, contractors, municipalities, and internal project teams.
