Job summary

August Mack Environmental, Inc. is seeking an Operating Principal for Construction Services in Indianapolis to lead the delivery of remediation and construction projects.

You will drive execution quality, margin discipline, safety, and governance while supporting business development and senior leadership alignment. The role requires strong leadership, client management, and financial acumen to meet revenue and gross margin targets, with 25% travel to various offices and project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, environmental science, environmental engineering, geology, hydrogeology or related field.
• 10+ years of professional environmental remediation or civil construction experience with management exposure.
• PMP or related project management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of the Construction Services Program, including execution, scheduling, staffing, and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements across projects.
• Manage client communications, scope clarity, and risk mitigation for remedial construction programs.
• Lead and mentor project managers, construction managers, field leaders, and technical staff.
