Job summary

Orange County Sanitation District is seeking a Planner-Scheduler (Construction Management) in California to lead scheduling of major wastewater projects. You will manage field contractors’ schedules, evaluate performance, and enforce schedule provisions aligned with project milestones.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3 years of scheduling experience. Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel is highly desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Three years of professional engineering or construction management work experience involving the planning and scheduling of large construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and analyzes construction schedules and cost reports to determine feasibility of proposed schedules; distributes progress evaluations to project managers and engineers.
• Reviews monthly construction schedule updates and progress payments; monitors actual progress vs planned; provides exception reporting and suggests actions.
• Acts as a liaison between OC San divisions/departments; coordinates construction project schedules to minimize impacts on facilities and operations.
• Reviews baseline schedules and design submittals to ensure scope is achievable; identifies the critical path and creates preliminary schedules during planning phases.
• Reviews contract change orders and provides recommendations on delays; performs delay impact analysis and determines compensable claims.
