Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler in Denver, CO to oversee all planning and scheduling activities on complex projects. The role requires coordinating with staff at all levels, mentoring the scheduling team, and ensuring compliance with project schedules and safety programs.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering, at least four years of construction scheduling experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum of four years construction experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to travel as needed.
• Knowledge of scheduling concepts, standard construction practices, and project sequencing.
• Experience with 4D visual planning methodologies.
• Strong reading of plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of all planning and scheduling activities.
• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and direct planning and scheduling activities.
• Ensure that corporate planning and schedule stands are implemented and that all project related activities comply.
• Provide oversight and supervision of scheduling team.
• Coach, mentor, and train field personnel, forepersons, and assistant superintendents.
• Establish and nurture teamwork environment.
• Ensure crews have resources and support.
• Provide work direction and performance evaluations.
• Identify hiring needs and participate in hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions if needed.
• Develop leadership potential through appropriate task assignments and career growth opportunities.
• Implement Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety Program at project site.
• Manage open shop and union issues.
• Maintain relationships with all visitors to the site: customers, architects, union representatives, subcontractors, et al.
• Manage site work and logistics efficiently, providing suggestions for improvement.
• Other duties as assigned
