Job summary

Kokosing Industrial, Inc. is seeking a Safety Education and Training Specialist to develop and deliver content that supports the company's Safety and Health Management System.

You will conduct new hire/site safety orientation and manage safety training programs across projects. Responsibilities include creating manuals, presentations, Safety Talks, evaluating learning outcomes, maintaining training records, delivering on-site and online training, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety and health or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience.
• 3 to 10+ years of experience with safety and health in the construction industry preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations as well as other state/federal safety regulations and company safety policies/procedures.
• Strong writing and communication skills (emails, memos, correspondence, etc.).

Responsibilities

• New Hire and Site Safety Orientation: Conduct onboarding for new team members including drug testing, Workday information collection, new hire and site specific safety orientation content delivery.
• Training Program Management: Execute safety training and educational content tailored to the Company and project site.
• Educational Materials and Correspondence: Develop educational materials such as manuals, guides, presentations, Safety Talks, and handouts to support operations managers and team members.
• Evaluation of Education and Training: Collaborate with Safety leadership and operations management to measure learning outcomes, gather feedback, and evaluate effectiveness.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of all training and education, including attendance records, training materials, evaluations, and participant feedback.
• Training Delivery: Facilitate on-site safety training, as well as online learning.
• Risk Identification and Mitigation: Work with Safety leadership and operations management to incorporate risk mitigation strategies into training and educational programs, correspondence, and materials.
• Operational Coordination: Work with Safety leadership, operational management, and subject matter experts to develop specialized content for specific training/educational needs.
• Technology Integration: Using tools, such as multimedia and MS Office Suite to enhance learning communications, materials, and experience.
