Job summary

SAVI EHS is seeking a seasoned Construction Safety Manager to lead all site safety efforts on a high‑profile federal project in the Cambridge, MA area. You will ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA 29 CFR 1926, and client safety policies, and drive corrective actions after inspections.

You will develop JHAs/AHAs/STAs, deliver safety orientations and trainings, maintain records, and collaborate with project leadership to mitigate risk while promoting a strong safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction safety management experience.
• Experience supporting federal construction projects strongly preferred.
• EM 385-1-1 40-Hour certification required.
• BCSP certification (CHST, CSP, STS-C, or equivalent) preferred.
• Competent Person training in Fall Protection, Confined Space, Excavation, or related disciplines is a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all site safety efforts and serve as the project's primary safety professional.
• Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA 29 CFR 1926, project-specific safety requirements, and client safety policies.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments while driving corrective actions.
• Develop and review JHAs, AHAs, and STAs.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for project personnel.
• Maintain safety records, inspections, reports, and regulatory documentation.
• Partner with project leadership to proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
• Promote a positive, team-oriented safety culture across the project site.
