Job summary

EMERY SAPP & SONS in Springdale, AR seeks a Health and Safety Manager to plan, implement, and oversee safety programs on our construction sites. You will lead site orientation, training, incident investigations, and policy enforcement, coordinating with project management, subcontractors, and craft crews to build a strong safety culture.

Travel may be required as needed. Requirements include 7–10+ years in safety and construction, OSHA 510/500, CSHT and CSP preferred, plus the ability to travel

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in safety and construction experience.
• Ability to communicate with management, workers, vendors and clients.
• Knowledge of applicable local, state, federal and client regulations.
• Mentorship skills to grow project Health and Safety team members.
• Independent work and team collaboration with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Health and Safety Plan for the project.
• Deliver site orientations for employees, subcontractors and visitors.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and client requirements.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near-misses with reports.
• Coordinate safety efforts with management, subcontractors and supervisors.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and audits and implement controls.
• Monitor safety performance and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Attend toolbox talks and pre-shift safety briefs.
