Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the design, development, and operational oversight of environmental, health and safety disciplines within the construction industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with emphasis in structural/mechanical safety is preferred.
• PE certification and safety credentials (CHST, CSP, NCCCO) are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and own day-to-day EHS site management for a fast-paced construction project.
• Implement, enforce, and audit EHS management programs for SpaceX contractors and subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain safety observations and hazard identifications; ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH and related regs.
• Provide technical oversight for crane, rigging, heavy equipment, welding, and fabrication activities.
• Investigate incidents and write reports to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Educate and provide safety training on cranes, rigging, heavy equipment, welding and fabrication.
