Job summary

WTW in the United States seeks a seasoned Construction Broker to manage day‑to‑day placement of Construction liability coverages for North American accounts. The role emphasizes negotiating terms, developing client relationships, and coordinating with underwriters on pricing and coverage.

The ideal candidate will hold a P&C broker license, have 7–15 years of construction liability experience, and possess strong negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Insurance broker’s P&C license required.
• Risk Management/Insurance degree preferred.
• 7-15 years of experience minimum.
• Deep knowledge of design and construction industry and casualty liability insurance.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills are critical.
• Attention to detail and process orientation.
• Presentation skills, written or oral.

Responsibilities

• Manage broking for a book of new and recurring/annual policies.
• Focus on Construction Casualty products for contractors, owner/developers, and design professionals.
• Place additional lines of coverage as applicable (Property, Builders Risk, Inland Marine).
• Lead broking communications with underwriters and producers.
• Obtain and distribute information from client/producing office.
• Assist or lead front end sales/RFP efforts.
• Prepare/create proposals, submissions and quotes.
• Run and interpret financial analytical models.
• Maintain relationships with producers and senior underwriting contacts.
• Participate in continuing education to maintain license.
