Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to oversee quality control on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE or NAVFAC requirements. You will write the project QC plan, run three-phase control meetings, and own test results and nonconformances.

You will supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians, coordinate lab testing and material certifications, and report to the owner's QA representative.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• Experience supervising inspectors (2+ years).
• Ability to write and defend QC plans and NCRs.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage and review reports.
• Run nonconformance and corrective-action process and present in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
