Job summary

Frontier-Kemper-Tutor Perini joint venture seeks a Construction Quality Manager for the Manhattan Tunnel Project in New York, NY. The CQM will implement and administer the CQMP across all construction phases, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, drawings, specs, and owner quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 8+ years of quality management, quality control, field engineering, or construction inspection on heavy civil, tunnel, underground, transportation, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of CQMPs, ITPs, quality documentation requirements.
• Experience with structural concrete, deep foundations, shafts, tunnels, slurry walls, waterproofing, shotcrete, utility work, and temporary works.
• Proficiency in reviewing drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and design revisions.
• Knowledge of ACI, ASTM, and project-specific quality requirements.
• Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, and field inspection skills.
• MS Office and construction document management software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Implement and administer CQMP and support Project QMP.
• Coordinate quality activities with field operations and project management.
• Perform field inspections of critical work: slurry walls, shafts, deep foundations, waterproofing, concrete, temp works.
• Review drawings, specs, shop drawings, RFIs, and design revisions.
• Oversee Special Inspection Agencies and testing laboratories.
• Maintain quality documentation and traceability.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly quality reports and logs.
• Coordinate with Project Quality Manager, PM, Superintendents, EOR, owner reps, and regulators.
