Job summary

Frontier-Kemper-Tutor Perini joint venture seeks a Construction Quality Manager to join the Manhattan Tunnel Project in New York, NY. The CQM will implement and administer CQMP across all construction phases, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, drawings, specs, and owner quality measures.

Responsibilities include coordinating with management, field teams, inspectors, and laboratories; conducting field inspections, maintaining quality documentation, and driving continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 8+ years of quality management on heavy civil / tunnel projects.
• Strong knowledge of CQMPs, ITPs, and quality documentation.
• Experience with concrete, deep foundations, tunnels, slurry walls, waterproofing, etc.
• Proficient in reviewing drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, and revisions.
• Knowledge of ACI, ASTM, and project quality requirements.
• Experience coordinating inspections, labs, subcontractors, engineers and owners.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; safety-conscious.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management software.
• Ability to work safely in active heavy civil environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement and administer the CQMP and support the QMP.
• Coordinate project quality activities with field operations.
• Monitor compliance with contract documents, specs, submittals, RFIs, and design revisions.
• Support quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform field inspections to verify compliance with drawings and specs.
• Verify hold points, witness points, and ITPs prior to work progression.
• Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, and design revisions.
• Coordinate technical quality issues with engineering and construction teams.
• Oversee Special Inspection Agencies and independent testing laboratories.
• Maintain complete quality documentation and traceability.
