Job summary

Construction Material Testing in Honolulu, Hawaii seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including federal work under USACE or NAVFAC requirements.

You will write the project quality control plan, run the three-phase control meetings, supervise inspectors and technicians, and own the data from tests and nonconformances for the owner’s QA representative.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Clear written communication and ability to present to superintendents and owner reps.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
