Job summary

Thompson Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Quality Control lead to oversee company-wide QC plans across construction sites.

You will ensure compliance with contract requirements and safety standards while coordinating with project teams. This role requires 10+ years in QC within construction, strong documentation discipline, and ability to manage field inspections, testing, and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent preferred.
• 10+ years in quality control roles.
• Knowledge of code stamps and welder certifications.
• Familiar with construction health and safety concepts.
• Quality certification is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee Quality Control plans and testing per contract.
• Review testing data and apply statistical quality control.
• Maintain QC records in accessible, secure systems.
• Build relationships with customers to address needs.
• Set policies for QC of field work.
• Provide field QC oversight on projects.
• Create QC reports and progress updates.
• Coordinate construction phases quality control groups.
• Ensure work complies with plans, specs, codes.
• Lead QC standardization with new work features.
• Issue non-conformance reports and corrective actions.
• Direct activities across welding, concrete, piping, HVAC and electrical QC.
