Job summary

Markon is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Inspector and team leader to provide Owner's Representative construction management services for a DoW client. The candidate will serve as SME in construction QA, ensuring contractor compliance with project requirements, codes, specifications, and contract documents.

The role requires deep field QA experience, ability to mentor QA staff, and strong communication with government representatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field; 15+ years construction experience or 20+ years with CQM certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive quality assurance inspections and mentor QA personnel.
• Lead as SME in construction QA and USACE Three Phases of Control.
• Conduct site evaluations, field surveys, and site visits for constructability, quality, and code compliance.
• Utilize LiDAR, point cloud data, and related spatial imaging for QA and site evaluations.
• Assist planning, budgeting, and estimation for future projects.
• Ensure QMS is implemented and maintained per contract requirements.
• Evaluate workmanship in concrete, foundations, drainage, mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing, interiors.
• Review drawings, specs, codes, and documents for inspections and NCNs.
• Communicate with contractors, government reps, and stakeholders about methods and corrective actions.
• Prepare daily QA reports, deficiency reports, and photos; maintain records.
