Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Senior Construction Project Manager – Mechanical/HVAC in Atlanta, GA onsite. This permanent/full-time role leads complex projects in high-tech facilities and biotech environments.

You will manage project teams, budgets, schedules, and client presentations, while negotiating subcontracts and ensuring quality and profitability. A Bachelor’s degree (CM/CE/ME) and 10+ years PM experience are required; advanced degrees are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM/CE/ME or related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
• At least 10 years of PM experience in commercial construction (industrial preferred).
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, estimating, scheduling, and cost control.
• Experience leading science/tech projects (labs, data centers, R&D facilities).
• Proven ability to lead teams profitably and deliver presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead project team to meet goals, budgets and customer satisfaction.
• Manage facilities such as labs, biotech production sites with cleanrooms.
• Develop contacts and build relationships with potential customers.
• Negotiate contracts and subcontracts; ensure quality and profitability.
• Oversee design development, budgets, and project schedules.
• Supervise Project Engineers and Project Managers; allocate work.
• Develop procurement strategy and bid documents; award subcontracts.

Immediate need for a talented Senior Construction Project Manager – Mechanical/HVAC . This is a Permanent/Full-time opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Atlanta, GA (Onsite).

Key Responsibilities:

• This individual is primarily responsible for managing Project Team to meet goals, budgets and highest customer satisfaction.
• This role involves managing specialized facilities such as high-tech manufacturing plants, laboratories, or biotech production sites with cleanrooms, R&D labs, or advanced manufacturing lines, integrating cutting-edge systems.
• Some things you can expect to do:- Develop contacts and quickly builds relationships with potential customers.
• Effectively negotiates business and legal provisions of construction contracts.
• Consistently achieves high levels of quality, design and profitability on projects assigned to the team.
• Assure the team’s accounts receivables are managed effectively and collected promptly.
• Assure the team’s warranty issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
• Assure that general team administrative responsibilities are carried out promptly and accurately.
• Participate or lead owner/client presentations and negotiations.
• Oversee design development, budget preparation and development of project schedules.
• Supervise team of Project Engineers, Sr. Project Engineers, Project Managers I & II, and Project Assistants, as required, depending on assigned project(s).
• Play a key role in developing procurement strategy including preparing bid documents, negotiating and awarding subcontracts.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus
• At least 10 years of project management experience in the commercial construction industry (industrial preferred).
• Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods, building types, estimating, scheduling, cost control, material pricing and design management is required.

• Have proven ability to manage teams successfully and profitably.
• Can make effective and convincing formal sales presentations.
