Job summary

Jacksonville Housing Authority seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead complex projects from inception to close-out. You will manage budgets, schedules, and scope while coordinating with Architects, Engineers, and city regulators to ensure compliance and quality.

The role mentors other project managers and requires strong communication and problem-solving skills. The position reports to the Deputy Chief Property Officer, is exempt, and available in the Property & Asset Management

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field or equivalent experience.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of HUD and organizational regulations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

Achieve project objectives by creating clear and attainable project plans, budgets, schedules, and scope.
Act as liaison between JHA, Architects, Engineers, Consultants, General Contractors, Asset Management and Tenant groups.
Plan programs, monitor objectives, and record all activities throughout the lifecycle.
Review design for accuracy and adherence to codes; manage architect of record and engineers through close-out.
Supervise multiple projects concurrently and track progress with weekly meetings and reports.
Ensure budget control, change orders, and approvals; verify requisitions and purchase orders.
