Vertex is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee development projects for lenders, investors, and owners. The role is client-facing with responsibility for due diligence, monitoring, risk assessment, and reporting through the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will bring strong construction management experience, sharp communication skills, and the ability to evaluate risks from operational and financial perspectives. Regular travel to project sites in the region is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 5 years of related experience; Master's with 3 years ok; 8 years with no degree accepted.
• Experience performing construction monitoring inspections and writing reports for a consulting or engineering firm.
• Experience managing commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, healthcare, industrial, or institutional construction projects.
• Strong ability to evaluate project budgets, schedules, contracts, and risks.
• Excellent written communication for executive stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Perform pre-construction due diligence reviews for debt and equity stakeholders.
• Assess project feasibility and identify construction, financial, operational, and schedule risks.
• Review project documentation including contracts, plans, and procurement strategies.
• Evaluate contractor qualifications and project delivery approaches.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, safety, and milestones.
• Analyze schedules, budgets, contingency usage, change orders, and cash flow.
