Job summary

Vertex Companies, LLC is hiring a Construction Project Manager to oversee lender and investor-backed projects. You will provide independent oversight across the project lifecycle, including due diligence, monitoring, and reporting, while coordinating with stakeholders.

The role requires strong construction management experience, excellent communication, and travel throughout the region to project sites. A focus on risk assessment and budget control is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in construction management or 8 years of related experience without a degree.
• Experience performing construction monitoring inspections and reporting for a consulting/engineering firm.
• Experience managing diverse construction projects across sectors and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-construction due diligence reviews for debt and equity stakeholders.
• Assess project feasibility and identify construction, financial, operational, and schedule risks.
• Review documentation including contracts, plans, and procurement strategies.
• Evaluate contractor qualifications and project delivery approaches.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, safety, and milestones.
• Analyze schedules, budgets, change orders, and cash flow.
• Review draw requests and validate construction progress and costs.
• Prepare due diligence and risk assessment reports for clients.
