Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead complex commercial construction initiatives in Minneapolis, MN. This fulltime onsite role requires strong leadership, budgeting, scheduling and client coordination.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of PM experience in labs, data centers or industrial facilities, and a degree in Construction Management or related engineering field. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience in commercial construction.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods, estimating, scheduling and cost control.

Responsibilities

  • Develop contacts and build relationships with potential customers.
  • Negotiate contracts' business and legal provisions.
  • Ensure quality, design and profitability on assigned projects.
  • Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely collections.
  • Resolve warranty issues promptly.
  • Oversee design development, budgets and schedules.
  • Lead owner/client presentations and negotiations.
  • Supervise project team including PMs and engineers.
  • Develop procurement strategy and subcontracts.

Job description

Immediate need for a talented Senior Construction Project Manager. This is a Fulltime opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Minneapolis, MN (Onsite).

Pay Range: $140000 - $180000/annum. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop contacts and quickly builds relationships with potential customers.

  • Effectively negotiates business and legal provisions of construction contracts.

  • Consistently achieves high levels of quality, design and profitability on projects assigned to the team.

  • Assure the team's accounts receivables are managed effectively and collected promptly.

  • Assure the team's warranty issues are resolved promptly and effectively.

  • Assure that general team administrative responsibilities are carried out promptly and accurately.

  • Participate or lead owner/client presentations and negotiations.

  • Oversee design development, budget preparation and development of project schedules.

  • Supervise team of Project Engineers, Sr. Project Engineers, Project Managers I & II, and Project Assistants, as required, depending on assigned project(s).

  • Play a key role in developing procurement strategy including preparing bid documents, negotiating and awarding subcontracts.


Key Requirements and Technology Experience


  • Must have skills: Project Management, Commercial construction ( e.g., labs, data centers, R&D facilities , industrial, clinics ).

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus

  • At least 10 years of project management experience in the commercial construction industry (industrial preferred).

  • Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods, building types, estimating, scheduling, cost control, material pricing and design management is required.
