Job summary

Mural Group in Central Kentucky (Lexington area) is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead industrial and commercial projects. You will take ownership from pre-construction through close-out, manage schedules and budgets, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain client communications.

This office-based PM role requires 7–10 years of industrial/commercial PM experience, strong estimating skills, and the ability to travel within about 1.5 hours of Lexington.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of project management experience in commercial or industrial construction.
• Industrial project experience is required; manufacturing facilities or tilt-up builds preferred.
• Estimating experience; you will price new work alongside active projects.
• No residential background; this is a different world with distinct skill sets.
• Located within commuting distance of the Richmond, KY area (Lexington, Georgetown, Frankfort, London).

Responsibilities

• Take over management of three active projects on day one and estimate one to two more.
• Manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client communications from pre-construction through close-out.
• Attend weekly operations calls and provide site visits; this is office-based with regular on-site inspections.

Senior Construction Project Manager - Industrial and Commercial Construction
Central Kentucky (Lexington area) | $125K Base + Profit Sharing + Company Truck

Mural is working with a growing, design-build general contractor based in Central Kentucky that has been building for manufacturers, distributors, and commercial clients since 2004. Their work is roughly 60% industrial and 40% commercial. Projects include; paint line buildouts, processing facilities, tilt-up warehouse construction, industrial parking, spec buildings, and plant infrastructure projects for automotive suppliers.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to take ownership of active projects on day one. The owner of this company is managing too much himself and needs a Senior PM he can hand the reins to and trust.

What you will be doing

You will take over management of three active projects immediately and estimate one to two more concurrently. You will manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client communication from pre-construction through close-out. Every project has a superintendent on-site, so this is an office-based PM role with weekly site visits, not a live-on-site position. You will participate in a weekly Thursday operations call where you walk through all active jobs, and your performance will be tracked on a simple scorecard: days ahead or behind schedule, every week.

What we are looking for

• 7-10 years of project management experience in commercial or industrial construction; general contracting, design-build, or construction management

• Industrial project experience is required - manufacturing facilities, warehouse builds, tilt-up construction, process facilities, or similar; commercial-only background is a flag

• Estimating experience; you will be pricing new work alongside active projects

• No residential background; this is a completely different world and the skills do not transfer

• Located within commuting distance of the Richmond, KY area (Lexington, Georgetown, Frankfort, Mt. Sterling, and London are all within range)

• Field or trades background with a superintendent-to-management trajectory is a significant plus -- not required, but it is the profile that tends to thrive here

Compensation and benefits

• Base salary: $100,000 - $125,000

• Profit sharing plan: Details given during interview process

• Travel: Projects stay within an hour and a half of Lexington.
