Job summary

Nbutexas is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager in the United States to lead and oversee complex civil projects from conception to completion. You will coordinate with owners, contractors, and engineers, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture or related field.
• PE license required with 15+ years of civil construction experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience over construction phase projects.

• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client relations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison between design teams, owners, contractors and engineers.
• Oversee complex civil projects from conception to completion with safety focus.
• Manage budgeting, scheduling and cost estimation with regular reporting.
• Conduct on-site inspections and ensure quality control and compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate project staff for performance and growth.
• Interface with client representatives to resolve field issues and approvals.
• Negotiate change orders, contracts, and permits as needed.
• Identify risks and apply value engineering to improve constructability.

Senior Construction Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or a minimum of 5 years’ related experience with applicable certifications and training
• Professional Engineering (PE) license required
• 15+ years of experience in utility, transportation, real estate development, water/wastewater, mining, or other civil construction projects
• 5+ years of supervisory experience, including managing construction phase projects
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle check
• Proven expertise in construction administration or management
• Deep knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant regulations
• Strong understanding of construction business practices, permitting, zoning, and environmental requirements
• CPM scheduling experience

Senior Construction Project Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between design teams and construction partners—including owners, contractors, and engineers
• Oversee and direct complex construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Manage budgeting, scheduling, and cost estimation for civil projects, providing regular internal and external reporting
• Conduct on-site observation and inspection, addressing quality control and ensuring project requirements are met
• Lead, mentor, and review the work of project staff to drive accountability and professional growth
• Interface directly with client representatives to resolve field issues, administer contracts, and ensure project objectives are achieved
