Job summary

Marand Builders, Inc seeks a dynamic General Contractor Project Manager to lead construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in CM or related field, 5+ years in commercial construction, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple crews and schedules while traveling to sites. Travel up to 30% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, overseeing ground-up projects in healthcare, financial, and light industrial sectors.
• Ability to manage more than 2 projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Proficient in project reporting software, MS Office, and blueprint reading.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budget, write contracts, approve invoices, and update schedules.
• Coordinate among subcontractors and resolve issues or conflicts.
• Organize, process, and distribute project documents.
• Create and manage the project schedule.
• Expedite documents and deliveries to meet schedule.
• Maintain cost control data and prepare cost reports.
• Maintain relationships with customers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and employees.
• Develop short interval schedules for weekly coordination meetings.
• Ensure LEED requirements are implemented and tracked.
• Administer document control for shop drawings, submittals, contracts, insurance, and notices.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for contract compliance.
• Process subcontractor payments and vendor invoices.
• Attend project meetings and assist with minutes and attendees roster.
• Write weekly reports with superintendent notes.
• Manage close-out procedures and activities.
• Ensure safety rules are followed on-site.
