Job summary

Wight & Company in Darien, IL seeks a senior Project Manager to lead commercial/institutional projects. You will manage scopes, bids, subcontractors, schedules and finances, while maintaining client relations and coordinating with design teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Construction Management undergraduate degree required.
• 7+ years Project Management experience on commercial/institutional projects.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with project management, trade contractors, architects and engineers and the ability to resolve issues with minimal supervision.
• Experience with bidding work, developing work scopes, subcontractor management project scheduling and cost reporting required.
• Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Procore and CMiC knowledge a plus.
• Knowledge of Building Information Modeling, Revit software desired.

Responsibilities

• Work with the preconstruction team to develop work scopes, solicit bids, conduct scope reviews and negotiate subcontracts.
• Communicating with clients on project issues to assure client satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain overall project schedules; work with all parties to avoid delays.
• Assure the timely review/processing of submittals, pay applications and other project documentation.
• Manage Subcontractors; coordinate/communicate with subs in a professional manner.
• Prepare project reports, including cost reports, monthly reports and schedule updates.
• Facilitate RFI resolution with Owner and design team.
• Oversees change order management process.
• Responsible for the overall project financial management.
• Support project team on overall project requirements.
• Support bid pursuits, proposal preparation and new client development.
• Develops and adheres to project quality control plan.
• Collaborates with the design team from project initiation to completion.
