Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a seasoned project leader to manage construction projects from concept to delivery, ensuring high-quality results and professional growth for the team. The role entails end-to-end accountability, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and driving project success while managing budget, schedule, risk, and stakeholder communications.

You will oversee safety programs, procurement, and contract administration, while coaching engineers and assistants to achieve performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 7 years of experience in construction engineering, project engineering, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a managerial capacity preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred.
• OSHA 30 program completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Leads, manages, and develops a team of construction project individuals by establishing expectations, supporting individualized development plans, facilitating training opportunities, and reinforcing continuous skill growth to achieve exceptional performance and encourage talent development.
• Oversees end-to-end project execution by collaborating with project teams, monitoring progress, and addressing escalated, complex issues to ensure timely completion, while maintaining consistent field presence, leading participation in safety meetings including stretch and flex, and demonstrating fluency in high-risk activities to actively drive safe, planned, and controlled project outcomes.
• Oversees and approves procurement of project-related materials, equipment, and specialty trade subcontractors as needed, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with SPW work sequences and field requirements.
• Communicates project status, risks, and changes to stakeholders, leveraging advanced knowledge and experience in project management.
• Evaluates project performance, identifies areas for improvement, and implements corrective actions.
• Reviews comprehensive project documentation for compliance, reporting, and future reference.
• Partners with the Superintendent to lead implementation of project-specific quality and safety programs, ensuring teams and trade partners uphold DPR's safety standards and proactively identify and address potential risks to maintain an incident-free work environment.
