  • Develop customized reporting, analysis tools, models, data gathering systems, documentation procedures, and quality standards.
  • Ensure accuracy in reports, schedules, and contracts in support of County projects.
  • Identify and implement solutions to customer and vendor needs to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet project objectives and provide direction and oversight for tasks.

Job description

Hiring range: $85,363.20 to $119,496.00 annually ($41.04 to $57.45 per hour). Starting rate will depend on experience, education, and qualifications. Advancement opportunities exist for individuals motivated to move up within Anoka County.

Position Description

The mission of the Anoka County Facilities Management and Construction department is to provide a safe, clean, comfortable, well‑maintained environment at the highest standard of excellence for the citizens and employees of Anoka County. The department is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team. This role provides expert leadership for Anoka County construction projects, including developing time and resource estimates, monitoring project status, and ensuring critical path and milestone deadlines are met.

The Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible for full‑cycle construction project management and serves as a primary point of coordination with internal teams, external partners, and vendors. This position develops project plans and contingencies, manages schedules, selects and oversees vendors, and provides clear direction to ensure high‑quality project outcomes and exceptional customer satisfaction.

This is a full‑time, exempt, on‑siteposition. Interviews will take place the week of October 18th, 2026, for those selected to move forward in the hiring process.

Work Location
  • This position will work at the Anoka County Government Center, located at 2100 3rd Ave, Anoka, MN 55303 with occasional travel to other Anoka County locations as business needs require.
  • Expected work hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liaise and coordinate with other departments to achieve and meet the county’s current and future construction project objectives and provide direction and oversight for tasks and troubleshooting pertaining to assigned projects.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
Qualifications and Requirements

  • Degree in Project Management, Facilities Management, Civil Engineering, or closely related.
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management (PM), or similar certifications.
