Job summary

IMC Construction seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead complex commercial projects from start to finish in New Jersey. You will drive strategic direction, mentor teams, and build strong client and trade partner relationships to ensure successful delivery.

You will oversee budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and change management while maintaining safety and quality standards across all project phases.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial construction project management.
• Proven experience managing large and/or complex commercial construction projects.
• Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience mentoring and developing project teams.
• Deep understanding of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontract management, and project execution.
• Strong client relationship and communication skills.
• Ability to lead multiple priorities and teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with construction management software (Procore, Primavera/P6, MS Office).
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring alignment of scope, budget, schedule, quality and client expectations.
• Plan buyout, scheduling, staffing, logistics and execution with field leadership to maintain momentum and deliveries.
• Oversee project financials including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, subcontract management, and owner billings.
• Build and maintain client relationships; serve as main contact with clients, architects, engineers and stakeholders.
• Lead and develop project teams; mentor and foster collaboration and accountability.
• Establish strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors for a team-oriented environment.
• Champion safety and quality with field leadership and safety programs.
• Drive accountability and problem-solving to keep projects moving forward efficiently.
• Support business development through client development, interviews, proposals and relationship management.
