Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Columbus, OH seeks an experienced project leader to manage complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will secure new work, lead multi-disciplinary teams, and drive safety, quality, and profitability.

Reports to senior operations leadership and collaborates with design and sales teams to win future work. Strong knowledge of BIM/Lean, cost control, contracts, and scheduling is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus extensive related experience (18+ years)
• Knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles
• Ability to identify business opportunities and close deals
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Ability to read and interpret contracts, drawings, specs, and schedules
• Experience with BIM and Lean to support projects

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and design community to grow business
• Lead and mentor high-performance project teams through supervision and coaching
• Collaborate with Sales/Marketing to secure new work
• Ensure ethics and compliance on all projects
• Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and pricing decisions
• Manage multiple projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Oversee master project schedule development and execution
• Oversee budget and financial management for projects
• Drive use of Turner initiatives and technologies
• Oversee QA/QC program administration
• Enforce safety protocols on project staff
• Engage in community relations and Turner resource optimization
