Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Augusta, GA is seeking an experienced project leader to direct the day-to-day management of a construction project. This salaried exempt role reports to the Senior Project Manager or Project Executive and requires strong leadership, budgeting, scheduling, QA/QC, and client relationship skills.

The successful candidate will develop high-performance teams, oversee safety and compliance, and ensure project goals are met on time and within budget at a complex on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of ten years related experience.
• Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office.
• Must have advanced presentation skills.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the development of high-performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring; ensure timely performance appraisals.
• Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potential.
• Develop and improve client relationships, fostering trusted-advisor status.
• Understand and administer Turner’s contract and subcontract agreements.
• Provide leadership to positively influence change and safety.
• Promote community involvement to build strategic relationships.
• Foster and enhance architect, subcontractor and vendor relations.
• Establish, update, and communicate the Master Project Schedule and manage its implementation.
• Manage budget and financial reporting; interpret reports to adhere to budget.
• Oversee QA/QC program and ensure quality standards.
• Lead risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and pricing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with Turner's ethics and compliance programs.
