Job summary

Cobalt Recruitment in Bergen County, NJ is seeking a Project Executive (PX) to lead and mentor Project Managers across high-profile multifamily and commercial renovations in the Northeast.

As a client-facing leader you will build relationships with owners, housing authorities, and property teams while coordinating with field crews, subcontractors, and senior leadership. The role offers regional travel, autonomy within six months, and a path to shaping a growing firm's delivery capability.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years in progressive construction management.
• Experience with large-scale multifamily rehab and gut renovations.
• Affordable housing experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, mentoring and client-facing skills.
• Degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide multiple Project Managers across active job sites, ensuring excellence in delivery and client satisfaction.
• Serve as a trusted, client-facing leader who builds strong relationships with owners, housing authorities, and property management teams.
• Communicate effectively with field teams, subcontractors, and senior leadership to maintain seamless project coordination.
• Travel as needed to project sites throughout New Jersey, New York, and occasionally out of state
• Play a key role in expanding the project team by recruiting and mentoring top talent.
• Operate with autonomy within six months, driving results without constant oversight.
• Manage sensitive on-site situations and tenant relations with professionalism and tact.
