Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Construction Project Engineer to support project delivery from pre-construction through completion across the Western United States. You will work with project management, field operations, engineering, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure safety, on-schedule delivery, and high quality outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field and 5+ years of experience in construction engineering or EPC project

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction engineering, project engineering, or EPC project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling, project controls, budgeting, and cost management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned construction scopes from planning through project completion.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to maintain project schedules.
  • Support procurement activities, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules while helping resolve construction issues.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and field work to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Assist with construction planning, permitting, site logistics, and coordination activities.
  • Perform site inspections and JHAs while promoting safe work practices.
  • Work closely with project management, engineering, procurement, and field operations to support successful project delivery.

  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with field and office teams.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
