Job summary

Metric DCX is seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale electrical construction projects across Data Centres, Industrial Facilities, and Advanced Manufacturing developments in the Western US.

You will work alongside experienced Project Managers, with a clear path to Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager roles as you develop your career, and relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical construction, industrial, mission critical, or large commercial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and procurement processes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with Procore or similar construction management software.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with successful delivery of electrical construction projects.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, and project documentation.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams.
• Assist with budgeting, change orders, and project controls.
• Maintain PM systems and reporting.
• Support scheduling and project close-out activities.
• Ensure safety and quality standards throughout project delivery.

I'm currently supporting a leading electrical contractor with a strong presence across the Western US that is continuing to expand its Data Centre and Mission Critical division.

Due to a growing backlog of secured work, they are looking to hire a Project Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale electrical construction projects across Data Centres, Industrial Facilities, and Advanced Manufacturing developments.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within project delivery and progress into Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager roles over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with the successful delivery of electrical construction projects
• Manage RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, and project documentation
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams
• Assist with budgeting, change orders, and project controls
• Maintain project management systems and reporting
• Support project scheduling and project close-out activities
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout project delivery

What We're Looking For
