Job summary

Leader Communications Inc. (LCI) is seeking a Senior Engineer to serve as the on-site representative for design development, contract administration, and physical execution of construction initiatives. This role conducts quality assurance surveillance and engineering management to ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and specifications.

Candidates must attain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, structural, or civil engineering from an accredited university.
5 years of experience or 10 years total in commercial construction inspection, preferably at a military installation.
OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification (active or obtained within 90 days).
U.S. Citizenship and Tier 3 security clearance required for on-site work.

Responsibilities

Provide project management and technical oversight across all project lifecycle phases from design to closeout.
Translate project briefs into clear A-E statements of work and design estimates using RSMeans.
Review blueprints, submittals, and shop drawings to catch design errors.
Conduct daily on-site inspections ensuring workmanship and materials meet quality standards.
Prepare cost estimates for changes and draft contract modifications.
Manage RFIs, inspection/test scheduling, and documentation for senior leadership.
