Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Albany, NY seeks a qualified Project Engineer to manage, evaluate and assess information for timely, on-budget project delivery per contract documents. You will supervise Engineers and Interns and coordinate with architects, subcontractors and owner representatives.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering with 4+ years of related experience, strong communication, and proficiency with BIM, LEAN and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering plus 4+ years' related experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison with Architects, Subcontractors, Consultants, Suppliers and Owner's Representatives.
• Oversee and decide on contract drawings and subcontract information; ensure drawings relate to the estimate.
• Manage the project budget and submittals/shop drawings; resolve interpretation conflicts.
• Negotiate Change Orders and manage changes in the Work with approvals.
• Oversee close-out with final records (RFIs, O&Ms, warranties, as-builts).
• Supervise Assistant Engineers, Engineering Assistants, Plan Clerks and Interns; input on performance appraisals.
• Prepare Scope of Work documents for trades.
• Develop reports such as General Conditions items, labor, safety, Change Order logs and QA.
• Schedule and manage subcontractor coordination meetings.
