Job summary

The City of Lynchburg is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to oversee complex civil, structural, transportation, and renovation projects. You will supervise consultants, inspectors, and staff, coordinate design and construction activities, and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, standards, and codes.

Coordinates complex projects with multiple stakeholders and facilitates meetings to get input on scope, design and planning.
Maintains compliance with plans, specifications, standards, and codes for materials, work quality and safety.
Procures and coordinates permits and reviews with local, state and federal authorities.
Prepares reports and presentations for City Council, City Administration, media and public groups.
Oversees financial projections, records, and project budget tracking.
Provides in-field inspection as needed and supervises construction coordinators and inspectors.
